OUR STORY
When our small but established practice in Mumbai relocated to Bangalore in 1992, the city was slow, the projects were few, but could be worked on in depth with ample time in hand.
The green city and more importantly the people warmly embraced us. We arrived with little but we received immense encouragement from clients and friends - their trust and confidence has resulted in our consistant and organic growth over three decades.
We live and work with a sense of gratitude.

Started by partners Deepti and Anant Swami, the firm sustained growth over 30 years and developed its own persona as D+A Architects.
Helping all those who come in contact with the firm is treated as an opportunity of reciprocation to its sustained growth over decades. This has developed into the outermost circle of experts, consultants, art lovers and numerous creative enthusiasts who readily collaborate to share their knowledge, experience and activities. They are often invited as consultants on the project and share formal responsibility.
Nurturing students and young architects to become responsible professionals has been a natural by-product of the firm's ethos and conduct. This has developed into a structured collaboration with alumni of the D+A, and is conceptualised into its name: D+A COLLABORATORY : A Centre Without Boundaries.
These collaborations are intrinsic to a high quality of design and its execution. D+A architects visualise the project, develop concepts and details, and in concurrence with the client specify the design requirements to the consultants, outline scope and coordinate their activities. The firm seamlessly integrates innumerable and inseparable aspects of the project, providing a one-point-contact to the client. The client then benefits from the contributions of various experts, without having to coordinate with counterparts themselves.
D+A ARCHITECTS is now a premier architectural design practice, illustrious due to their comprehensive design for buildings, interiors and landscape encompassing structures and various building services. A seamless integration of art, technology, and science with daily life is a key to the firm's success. The firms resolve and actions to achieve this with a craftsman's eye can be seen in their works ranging from Winery and Industrial buildings, corporate offices and office buildings, school, fire station, moderate homes & apartments, high-end residences & boutique apartments, community facilities, gyms & sports facilities, large co-living facilities etc.
While competing with big firms D+A ARCHITECTS took a leap beyond the client's brief and set a core philosophy for the design.
